Option 1: From within the App (instant)
- Open Dawaa and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account permanently.
- Confirm — the deletion happens immediately.
Option 2: By email request
If you can't sign in to the App, send a message from the same email registered to your account to [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”. We carry out the request within 7 business days at most and let you know once it's done.
What is deleted?
When you delete your account, all data associated with it is permanently deleted:
- Your account, email address, and name.
- All family member profiles and their medical details (date of birth, blood type, chronic conditions, drug allergies).
- All medications, prescriptions, and dose schedules.
- Your full dose history (taken and missed) and adherence reports.
- Uploaded photos (medication photos and profile photos) from our storage servers.
- Your devices registered for notifications, so all reminders stop immediately.
What may remain?
- Subscription and payment records: purchases are handled by the app store (App Store / Google Play), not our servers, and the store keeps its records under its own policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it from your store settings.
- Technical backups: your data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days and is then erased automatically. These backups are used only to recover from failures.
- Anonymized technical logs (request counts and system errors) that contain no data identifying you and no health data.
Can it be undone?
No. Deletion is permanent and the data cannot be recovered afterwards. If you want to keep your medical history, export the adherence report (PDF) from the Reports tab before deleting.
Delete data without deleting your account
You can delete a specific medication or family member profile from within the App while keeping your account — from the Medications screen or the Family members screen. Deleted items move to the archive and can be permanently deleted from there.
